Coral is said to be good for protecting children, and red-orange coral is also one of the four element gemstones of the Pueblo Indians. Coral of every color is considered a representative of the warm energy of the sun, and the southern direction.

This stone is fairly hard so you can use a steamer and ultrasonic cleaner with it. Do not, however, use Tarnex with it. Tarnex dissolves Coral.
